Marrying Gramma Marian (Nee Rozelle)

This is Grampa on his wedding day with Gramma Marian Lucile Rozelle, my Father & Uncle David's mother. They divorced later, but they certainly looked young and in love on this day.

This is the only photo I have of Gramma Marian right now, but I know more are around.

The younger days

Grampa was always a tinkerer. He once told me that he rigged up his own windmill-powered electric generator to run a radio and lights in the barn on the farm where he lived before electricity reached the area. He also had rigged up rain-fed irrigation for the flowers around his house that he lived in just before the retirement home. You would have loved his garage if you were into gardening and gadget innovation.

Dad tells me that these are Grampa's graduation photos.

Grampa's Funeral Was This Past Thursday...

I'm still trying to figure out how to effectively layout text & photos in Blogger posts. It's very tricky.

Grampa's funeral was this past Thursday in Wisconsin Rapids. About 30-35 showed up including family & friends.

The photo above is one of my favorites. According to Dad, this is from the White Tower restaurant in Madison, Wisconsin circa 1940-1941.
